What does it take to create a custom lockscreen?

What would creating a custom lockscreen involve? I would like to leard how the change parts of my lockscreen or all of it.
I'veseen them for other phones but I haven't seen any thing for the TB yet.

You would need to build from source most likely...it would involve edits to a .java file. If its just replacing pngs or something you might be able to use smali, but dont know for sure.

Personally, I just use Widget Locker. Works fine for me.

lol - it's certainly the easier of the two options presented.

I tried WL on a Droid1 but found it to be too "laggy" on device wake.
