What do u think is average life span of my Droid??

I was so excited about getting my motorola droid almost a year ago so i've been taking really good care of it and it has been taking really good care of me. Suddenly, possibly soon after my last update (android 2.2) my droid is starting to act buggy. Maybe its 2.2 or maybe these devices don't last as long as the OL' flip. What do you think?

I think it's 2.2. There are so many stock droids that started acting buggy after they updated. I've had my Droid since release day and I have no bugs. I'm running UD 8.0. Maybe try a different rom? (and don't use rom manager).

My Droid refused to run 2.2, though it ran 2.1 without a glitch.

It turned out to be a corrupted memory card. Formatting the card solved all the problems I was having. Froyo has been running great on my Droid ever since.

How are we supposed to determine the average lifespan of your phone? Did you mean average lifespan for a Droid? It doesn't do much good to come up with an average baed on a single data point...

While buginess can be related to lifespan there's not necessarily a direct cause-and-effect relationship in all cases. I mean, the buginess could be due to a setting, an app, OS, etc etc.

As long as you don't break something, or mess it up with corrupted software, the phone becomes old and useless when the newer ones have much more advanced features. That seems to occur in a bit over one year cycles, giving those who get a NE2 in 20 months a fit waiting for eligibility to upgrade.
