Welding App

Anybody ever heard of an app for welding use. I thought that Lincoln Electric or Miller might have something, but have not seen anything, yet.
Thanks

It could inputs in drop down boxes for MIG, TIG, parameters. Workpiece (stainless, ferrous, aluminum, titanium, etc.), thickness, current and voltage settings, wire diameter, type of wire (steel, flux-cored), for TIG electrode diameter, cup size, gas flow, maybe even waveform choice. For stick, rod type and diameter and current settings for different materials.

Known or past used data could be stored and accessed for future use.

I am going to contact LE and Miller and see what they may have in the works. Miller has something like this on their site, but it would be nice to have it on the Droid.

Very Interesting!
In a past life, I was a manufacturing engineer. Wonder if there would be any interest in a similar machinability calculator (suggesting feed, speed, depth of cut, tool type, etc.)?

I know this is an old post and hate to dig it out of the dead zone.... however... I found it while searching and since I work for Lincoln Electric I figured I could do something about the welding app. I will talk to our marketing team asap!

I believe Sandvik has a speed/feed app for machining.
