Just got my Verizon bill, apparently those jackasses charge you for out of network texting!!! the $10 unlimited text plan only covers texts to Verizon customers only. if you receive texts from AT&T or another network, they cahrge you for it!

Never happened to me and I receive texts from AT&T customers quite often using my unlimited text plan?

LOL I don't see how they'd do that but.. you need to have a talk with a rep. from Verizon. My ex girlfriend has ATT and we would send thousands of texts to each other a WEEK.. my bill wasn't high.

I have the unlimited plan and haven't gotten charged for a single text, and I know my wife and kids text phones from other plans. Sounds like they made a mistake, call them and find out what the deal is

I called an they told me its $30 per month, for unlimited text messaging for in and out of network

Verizon Text Messaging Plans Verizon also has a variety of text messaging plans. They charge 20 cents per message for text, picture and video messaging. (received and sent) The texting bundles are:

$5/month for 250 messages
$10/month for 500 messages out of network (unlimited in network)
$20 for 5,000 text, picture, and video messages plus unlimited mobile to mobile.

OUCH! that's gotta hurt. I have limited 250 text, so you must have made over 1000's of text to out of network.

Wish they have a built-in reminder such as if you are close to say...w/in 5-10 text of your limit for those of us without unlimited text plan - without having to go to your account to find out.

When i signed up for the unlimited text, the rep never told me it was for verizon to verizon only.

I wish that $10 plan was totally unlimited. I'd be on that in a second.

I have the $5 plan for 250 messages and I really have to be careful. I got a Google Voice account and that helps but people still send me messages to my cell number.

I think the unlimited texting is built my our plan. We have the 1400 minutes with friends and family, along with two data plans. I seem to remember being told that unlimited text were included, so it may be more cost efficient to switch to a plan like mine.
