wallpapers- red sphere 3d and like quality

I am new to the Moto Droid, (since july) and am still behind the times...But
I am looking for advice on a few things- Pardon me if it has already been discussed. The red sphere 3d wallpaper that looks like obsidian tiles and glowing red ball is a nice one- cant seem to find it-to download 1- call confirm app is now very sluggish..what would cause that? too many apps?
Beautiful widget is cool- but not without bugs... any better widgets without glitches?
and- rooting or any of this advanced mods- are they reversible if a
problem appears, warranty void? pros and cons? whats best place to review
best and worst apps? thanks a bunch !!!dancedroid
