wall charger question

Member
I have the wall charger from my LG enVtouch. It has the same micro end as my Droid and it puts out 5.7v and 0.7 amps. Is this ok to use on the Droid?

It'll be fine. That's the beauty og micro USB chargers. Now we basically have a standard charger for many things. You don't have to buy five different chargers for five different devices or have to search for your phone's charger if they're all the same. Yay for industry standardization!

I'd wait for others to chime in or google for more info first. The voltage is higher and the amperage is less. As I understand it, higher voltage may damage the Droid, and the lesser amperage will not charge it as fast.

Droid is 5.1v and 850 ma (.85 amps)

Lesser amperage won't charge it at all. I have a micro USB charger for my BT headset that's 500mA, and nothing happens when I plug it into my Droid.
