VZW Thunderbolt doesn't notify emails!

Nobody seems to know why; I get sound notification--sometimes--the envelope shows a message--sometimes. I use gmail and yahoo, the problem applies to both. Anyone?

Also, is there any way to make the LED blink when a new message comes in, like my old (and now dear) Blackberry did?

Are you in the email app when you don't get the notification? Some apps don't notify you if you're using the app.

Might help to specify which email app you're using as we're not all necessarily using the same app(s).

If there is, it will be in the options for your email app. Android doesn't have centralized alert settings (sound, vibrate and LED) like the BB. These are all set in each app's settings, if available for a given app.

Have you tried a reboot? I am having no issues whatsoever.
