Took longer than 10 minutes. Optimized all apps on reboot.

Also, it was already downloaded when I got the prompt. When I tapped install, it said it was preparing the device, then rebooted to install.

Actually, given the wording about working with Google and manufacturers to release security updates, I'm going to assume that's exactly what this is.

According to Lookout, I'm clean after the update, though I didn't run this scan before the update...

Doesn't seem like Lookout even detects it. I'm rooted and am not currently "protected" from SF. I just updated Lookout and then ran a deep scan and nada.

It's a separate app. Stagefright Detector by Lookout. I figured I'd trust them over the guys who found the exploit to tell me if I'm safe without doing something fishy to my device in the process.

Thanks for the clarification....I was wondering about that, since I didn't see any mention of it before taking the Lookout update on the play store.
