Volume Issues

My husband broke his maxx so I got him a maxx hd on eBay. He does not like change!! I tried to set up his maxx hd with the same launcher, apps etc that I know he likes, but I was not able to get it away from him (without him knowing) to root it. He is not a fan of tinkering!! ugh

I am not sure if the phone might have a lil hiccup since it was refurbished or if it is common on the Maxx HD to have issues with the volume.

If it is an known issue are there any options?

Does rooting it have any tweaks available to raise the volume. I remember my Droid X had very limited rooting capabilities.

My maxx HD doesn't have volume issues ..but I'm not 100% sure what you mean...

I haven't rooted my HD yet..I want the entitlement hack...but I don't believe that's possible on the HD ..

his words are "the volume under-preforms"
the complaints he has shared with me are:
that the speakerphone volume is maxed out and he can't hear it but with my rooted x he was using for a few days he didn't even have the volume up 1/2 way
when he has it the maxx hd plugged in with the audio-jack in his car he has to crank the car volume up all the way (he never had to do that with his old maxx and again the DX was much clearer and no where near the same volume level)

no volume issues here, maybe since its refurbished that's your answer.. my speaker is plenty loud too... my cousin with an iphone is jealous of my speaker volume...
