Voicemail, *86 and password

Greetings,

My vm settings show *86,,xxxx#
When I press the VM app it opens the app but show *86 and I am asked for the password.

My ? is, when I go to the main settings page, call settings, voicemail settings..the vm number shows *86,,xxx#

What am I doing wrong?

I use the same settings for my voicemail. I don't use the visual voicemail app though. I think it only works when you call.

I don't know much about the standard vmail so I can't help you there. I strongly suggest you try out Google voice for vmail. Never call to to get your messages again and if the person speaks clearly you will get a good voice to.text transcription.
