what is a good FREE program with no time limitations or watermarks on the converted files to convert .3gp video files from my phone to a mpeg or avi file for playback on my computer?

It might be easier to just get a codec for .3gp then it will run as-is on your PC. ..I don't recall where i found the one I use, but it was part of a codec pack found using google.

All 3 should be able to handle 3gp video files and convert them to something else. To play 3GP files on your computer, you can use Apple QUicktime (comes with iTunes), VLC or, fddshow (codec pack) for example.
