The new Verizon version of the LG Optimus Vu is coming, and it is awe inspiring, if you like freakishly big Frankenstein monster-style devices. The Verizon version of the phone was pictured "in the wild" and compared next to a Samsung Galaxy S III. Not only is the device a 5-inch "phablet," but it also uses a truly unconventional 4:3 aspect ratio. It's display will be 1024x768 HD IPS. It also has four capacitive buttons at the bottom and the following specs:
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 with Adreno 220 GPU (MSM8660)
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 32GB storage
  • 8MP/1.3MP cameras
  • stylus
  • Android 4.04
  • 4G LTE
How many of you guys are interested in this oddity? He's a friendly and potty trained monster. He just needs a good home...

In a strange way......I like it! I am a little strange though. I wish the Nexus 7 tablet was a phone!!!DancingNexus

I wouldn't hate it so much if all the iphone like bars hanging out on the top and sides didn't make it gigantic. if it was literally just a screen and a FFC on the front it would be awesome.

Edit: never mind didnt see the 4:3 aspect ratio. It is and always will be awful.

i can see only two reasons in the whole wide world to get this NFL redzone and NFL sunday ticket

Is that for real?!?

Ewwwwww!

^lmao

Someone help me out. SGS III is 4.8 and this phone is .2 inches bigger but it looks so much bigger. Am I trippin or missing something? Lol

I saw some people recently saying that 4:3 is really optimum for mobile devices but I can't remember why exactly. It may be optimum, but it sure isn't ergonomic to say the least. I have pretty big hands and that would be awkward even for me.
