Verizon Wireless twitter says no ICS for Razr anytime soon.

How does "We do not have a date for ICS on the Razr yet" translate into "no ICS for the Razr anytime soon?"

Incredibly misleading and inaccurate thread title.

Of course Verizon will respond to all of the uproar online - which is over a rumor that had no legitimate basis to begin with - with a vague statement. They don't want to promise a specific date because these things get pushed back more than they actually occur on time.

This is the line I read to come up with the title.

"Today Verizon has confirmed on Twitter that the update would not be arriving today for t he RAZR and RAZR MAXX, and that they have no date to announce at this time. Meaning it’s still at least a few weeks or longer away."

Which Verizon never said and is 100% pure speculation by the author. It's a misleading line given what Verizon actually said, and what Verizon said pretty much equates to a non-statement.

I believe the only official statement from Verizon was Razor to get ICS in Q2. Am I mistaken? If not then hopefully it rolls out in 10 days or less. If not Life goes on. At least in the real world.

It would not be suprising to have ICS stalled at this point. I have been waiting for me ASUS PRIME to have OTA firmware update or ICS from 4.0.3 to
he rumored 4.0.4. It has been rumored for quite a few weeks we could possibly see the .4. However to no avail at this time. Personally I think that there
are some unforseen issues with the latest ICS update. I think that when they get the kinks worked out my ASUS will go to 4.0.4 as well as any other
waiting Android systems. including my RAZR. This is just my guesstimate... Believe me you want them to fix the kinks now and not with 20 different
firmware band-aids.... Been there done that with ICS already. No fun. Time will tell.

By the way, as I typed that post on my phone it hesitated for a second.

Maybe I am getting the update!!
No, just had some gas or something.
Well, that stinks.

Actually, Verizon has never given any official statements on the release of the update other than that they don't have a specific date. Motorola was the one who said that the "Rollout begins in Q2" in a chart on their support forums that was last updated about a month ago.

Well as far as my ASUS PRIME goes I just received the firmware update and no ICS. Definitely different kernel but still ICS 4.0.3. pysched!

and after all this Im getting an iPhone

Nope that's almost as bad as waiting for ICS to finally come out haha only difference is Apple finds it humorous to send out an OS update every 2 weeks. No Lie!

However I should have known not to trust any source that ISN'T a Verizon or Motorola official. Sadly, I was told by some Verizon Employees in Augusta, GA when i asked them when ICS is getting released they said hopefully sometime by the end of summer. But maybe they were just telling me what I wanted to hear. But alas. ICS is going to be like an unknown game you'll wake up on morning and BOOM there it is waiting for you ;)

Honestly, I think that Motorola and Verizon will pull through right at the end of Q2, literally days away from the end of it and get ICS out there. It'll probably hit most people right around the start of Q3 and people will complain it didn't reach them during Q2 like normal and all of the Bionic fans will complain that they don't have ICS yet. Endless cycles I say, endless cycles!!!

I think once Motorola finally starts rolling it out we'll all get it fast. Bionic owners will not pull their hair out like Razr ones.
