Here's a surprising bit of info from Verizon. They are offering a limited time promotion to waive the initial $35 dollar activation fee for the Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab. Even more surprisingly, they are making the promo retroactive back to March 1st. This means that if you already picked up your Xoom or Galaxy Tab this month, you are going to get a rebate/refund directly from Verizon! There is no specific information given as to when the promo will end. It requires a month-to-month contract with one of the aforementioned devices. This isn't 100% confirmed at this time, so for now consider it simply a "distinct possibility". The pic above is just the regular advertisement.
