Will Verizon still charge me the full $30 data plan charge for my current cycle even if I activate a phone with a data plan midway through the month? Or do they only charge you a smaller amount and then the full $30 for the next month?

Thanks.

You'll get prorated the entire month. You're better off waiting the day your billing cycle begins.

That's what I was afraid of. Glad I asked first.

Thanks!

And...they charge for the next month.
So the day you order it you get whacked.

So if you are a day into your cycle you get a $60 whack, that's what.

You are paying a month in advance as well as this month.
Order it today and pay for April.

You only pay for the days that you have the plan. What is the problem? It doesn't matter when you sign up. If you sign up the day after your cycle ends then you will pay for the 29 days remaining in your cycle and in advance for the next cycle. You will get a $59 data billing on your next bill 29 days later. If you had signed up 2 days earlier then it would be 1 day before the end of your cycle. You would pay $1 plus $30 for the next cycle, or $31. However, you would pay the $31 one month earlier than you would if you had waited 2 days and then pay $59 one month later.
