Verizon 3g data speeds?

How fast is Verizon 3g on average?

A quick speed test on my bionic is showing 2mbps down and that kind of surprised me. I didn't think 3g was that fast.

Theoretically it can get download speeds of 3.1 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 1.8 Mbit/s, but usually you will see anywhere from 1-1.5 Mbit/s down with .5-1 Mbit/s with upload.
