Using DroidX as a hotspot- am I charged phone minutes

If I use my DroidX to occasionally get my internet access via my laptop- what charges am I incurring e.g., Minutes on the phone or dataplan time, etc?:icon_ banana:

The 3G mobile hotspot is $20 per month for 2GB. Data on your phone itself depends on what package you put on it.
