Use my Droid as a PC monitor.

Okay so I just got an HDMI cable to hook up my smartphone to my TV and was just considering the possibilities.

So I was wondering if there was a way to use the HDMI cable to display my PC desktop. I know it should be technically possible, my phone has a screen that could be the output. But it may require some creative hacking. This is more just for fun than out of need, but I could see some practical applications, such as testing a new PC build when a monitor is unavailable, or would require extra set up.

Any ideas?

Creative hacking would get right. And time consuming. The HDMI ports on phones are outputs, so using it as an input would be difficult to achieve. Not sure how outputs and inputs are configured to achieve each function, so I can't say how it could be accomplished, but I don't think it would be possible. If it is possible, it's not easy to do.

Edit: Not to mention our phone's screens were not made to mirror/display PCs, so there's another obstacle.
