Usb debugging not working

I just installed the ultimat droid rom and i wanted to transfer some files to my pc but usb support was not working. I enabled usb debugging but the computer does not recognize the fact that i have it connected via usb and also it does not charge the battery when plugged in either. Any help would he appreciated.

You flashed a rom that has no usb support. That is one of the known bugs. Its posted in the ultimate droid sub forum under roms.
