I have a rooted droid razr with a headphone jack that's gone bad and a big crack. My biggest complaint about this phone is that it always feel slow. I use LagFix to trim the storage and that helps, but it still feels slow. I'm often in my car hitting the home button repeatedly in frustration waiting for it to come up. One other annoying thing is that whenever I plug this phone into my computer for developing apps, it mounts it as a storage drive. After I unplug it, my google play music/winamp playlists get completely erased (I suppose because it thinks the song files are no longer there?). I've tried everything to prevent this and nothing does consistently. I want to be able to set my phone to charge only/not mount when connected to a computer.

So I'm looking for a phone of the same size or smaller, and I want it to be very fluid/responsive. My gf has a galaxy s3 and it feels very fast and responsive to me. It is too big though. How about the galaxy s4 mini? Any other phones I should consider? I use Verizon. Thanks!

Nothing against the other smaller phones on the market, I'm sure they are all good...but a co-worker of mine has a Droid Mini and absolutely loves it. He likes smaller phones also & thought his Bionic was too big. The Mini seems like a pretty impressive phone for the size.
