I have an app I got from the amazon market...business calendar. There is now an update for it on the android market but I cannot update since I did not buy it there. Amazon market isn't showing the update, do I have any update options?

nope, you just have to wait until the update reaches amazon. so far all of my apps have eventually gotten the update but it has at times taken significantly longer than when they first appeared in the android market. i think i heard amazon does some sort of review before they release it but i could be wrong on that one.

You have 2 choices.

1. Wait until the update reaches Amazon and then update; or
2. Uninstall the version from Amazon and install from App Market

Uninstalling and rebuying isn't a valid option

That's the problem with multiple markets, each one of them "branding" the once-neutral apps.
The guy who paid for the app is now stuck to the market he bought it from, and the software company is no longer able to push updates to the end user.
Amazon is going to corner the Android market with their Free App Of The Day (FAOTD), and tie everyone to their market.
