Update w root

I feel like I should know the answer to this but im having brain fog. Im rooted and the update is pulling up on my DX, it downloads but then it fails installation. I don't have a custom ROM. What am I forgetting here?

Did you uninstall anybloatware?

No, I renamed the bloat files to .bak but I went in and changed them back to .apk before I installed the update.

I would try undoing any root things you did and then unroot and try again.

I was afraid of that. I was trying to avoid losing my hours and hours of customization. There's no other way? Everyone that's rooted will have to redo their entire setup if they want the update?

Well you shouldn't have to undo your entire setup.

Ok, don't know why I was thinking I would then. I was thinking I would have to flash the sbf back to stock to unroot, that wont change anything then?

You don't have to do that to unroot. Whichever method you used dhould have had an unroot method.
