I'm not sure why, but Root Explorer and Z4 started working today. Root Explorer updated, so maybe the uninstall/reinstall got things moving. Dunno. Thanks for the help!

have down loanded z4root 1.3.1.apk and have run it and it stop and just locks up the Droid x 2 2.3.3 . looking for some help very new to this .

Z4 will not root the GB OTA. It is unrootable. Only way to get rooted GB is to sbf to Froyo, then root and install it.
