droid x ota update

hello all, im new to this forum. I have a rooted droid x but im not running any custom roms or anything. my phone recv'd an ota update this morning (2.3.340.en.US) is it safe to install or do i need to unroot then install? any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

You can do it either way...I was rooted when I did the OTA...everything went smoothly and all I had "go wrong" was I lost root. I used z4root and was back rooted again in less than 7 minutes.

Others have had issues with the OTA installing if they were rooted...so its a 50/50 shot either way. The overwhelming opinion is to un-root, the download and install the OTA, then re-root using whatever method you are comfortable with...
