Can you view youtube with the fascinate now or is this what the update is all about?
Also with the wifi ability, does this work in any free wifi spot?

Yes. You should have a Youtube app in your applications and a widget in android widgets. Turn your WIFI on and you can use any WIFI that isn't password protected.

Hey I'm trying to help my friend update his fascinate through: about: phone: update, but it always get's the to end of the bar and gives an IP error. any ideas? THANKS!

Soft reset the phone. That is what I had to do when I had problems checking for updates. To soft reset turn the phone off take the battery out and leave it out for 10 seconds then put it back in and turn it on. You should soft reset any smartphone once a month.

Not 10.1 we have the old version. The new version comes with 2.2. The incredible has it but that is because it has been updated with 2.2.

No update to 2.2 for Samsung Fascinate

Seems like no update to 2.2 for Samsung Fascinate. I will most likely stay away from future Samsung phones since they don't keep the OS current.

Samsung's all at 2.1

Check out this comparison chart of Samsung phones. All of them are only 2.1. Samsung must be have real problems with the 2.2 update.
