You keep saying DH12, I said that it showed DL12. Otherwise I wouldn't post this. I get the first 2 letter thing, but It's still weird that it showed DL12 (with the letter L and the number 12). And yes I am sure of this, I had to double check when I saw it, and I compared it to my phone.
Can you head back over there and get some more info? Like see what the OS version is? And take a picture of the "DL"; easiest way to solve the discussion.

Yea go back and take a pic. Thats what I would have done the frist time also there is no way I would have walked out of there with knowing what was up and y it was different then what I had.
Yeah I'm done waiting on this 2.2 update. Samsung makes a good phone but the support is extremely poor. I am planning on ditching my Samsung Fascinate for the new HTC Thunderbolt - Feb 14 release date.
Verizon sent a text saying a software update would be pushed to my phone soon and to make sure I disabled pattern lock.......could it finally be here now that all the leaks are coming out?
I got that message too. Here it is. Doesnt sound like an update as much as a fix for an existing problem. But what do i know!?
Free VZW Msg(s) - Use of your emergency call button on your Fascinate phone with software SCH-i500.DL09 may not work while the phone is locked. A software fix will be pushed to your device soon. Until available, disable pattern lock to ensure emergency calls can be placed. To check your software version press Applications > Settings > About phone and view Build number. Only version SCH-i500.DL09 is impacted by this issue. Versions SCH-i500.DI01 and SCH-i500.DH12 are functioning properly. To disable pattern lock press Applications > Settings > Location & Security and remove check from Require Pattern.
No, not ota. And for anyone else reading my post and frantically clicking their check update status...it is not out, only leaked (and might not be final official..although it is for the vzw fascinate). You must be rooted and have cwm flashed. If you have no idea what that is or are new to rooting, I would do some heavy reading or just wait for the official update. It should be coming pretty darn soon (likely this month). Otherwise, while I like these forums, I would head over to xda developers.
praasch, shdow, punk, which root method did you use and did you flash rom from green menu? i am curious as i had to go through some unusual steps to flash the dl30zip. link to root would be appreciated.
