Up for a new phone, anything on the horizon worth waiting for?

Im up for a new phone on my verizon plan, Im a bit hesitant to renew as I will lose my unlimited data. But my Droid X2 is getting on my nerves and I found out I have 4g in my area.

I was looking at whats out now, the RazorHD, DNA etc.. but was wondering if anybody knew whats coming out in the coming months thats good.
Basically just want to know if I should get a current phone now or wait for something better.

The Motorola X phone *should* be announced this summer along with the SG4...

I understand that it is hard to wait. If you wanted to upgrade now, I would go with the Razr Maxx HD. But if you can wait 3-4 months, you should have a good release update on the Galaxy S4, and Google will debut the new Motorola "X" phone in May at the Google I/O event.

I am waiting until March 15 to see what the announcement regarding the Galaxy S lV is about. If it is too far out or too big ie 5" or larger I'll get the Galaxy S III.

You could sell that X2 ($120 or so) and put that towards a used Razr Maxx to tide you over. If you want to keep unlimited, you may be buying off contract from here on!

I also have an X2 and my line became eligible for upgrade last month. I really want to hold out until July, or at least until May when the new Moto X "super phone" is revealed. They really need a different name though. Most consumers will get confused with the Droid X and X2 already in existence.

If you don't feel like using your upgrade you could always buy a 4g device from a 3rd party (Craiglist is a good choice and I also recommend Swappa). "Upgrading" this way will also allow you to keep your unlimited data plan.
