Unsolicited adverts appearing repeatedly in Gallery App

I use Samsung Galaxy A14 5G mobile running Android version 15 & 'One UI' version 7.0.

Over last 2 days, unsolicited images are being added to my 'Gallery' App showing fake Credit notifications & numerous adverts from some Hotel accomodation chain.

Is it possible to block these ads like you are able to block calls (Spam, phishing etc.) in the 'Phon'e App?

Have you added another app on the phone recently? Thinking something's automatically downloading to your gallery

Thanks bkdodger. No, I haven't added another app recently. I worked out that the unsolicited intrusions were using the "WhatsApp" app. I uninstalled WhatsApp and the problem has not recurred. Thank you anyway.
