We found out yesterday that the Nexus 5 will not receive an official update to Android Nougat. The good news is that this is a Nexus device we are talking about. As could be expected developer support is still pretty huge on this device. In a matter of hours developer "Santhosh M" had an unofficial port running on the Nexus 5.
The only downside to running an unofficial build of Nougat is their will inevitably be a few bugs. For now both bluetooth and the camera are not working. If either of these are important to you then you probably should hold off on running this as a daily driver. If you don't mind a few things not working head to the link below for more info on the progress of this Rom.
