Ok made the mistake of activating the crappy app for backup assistant that Verizon loaded on the phone. I have no need for it and don't want it. Is there a way to "close" it or stop it from running other than going into "running applications" and shutting it off?

So I did a write up after not finding the answer of how to remove the horible app called Back-up assistant for the LG Ally (should be the same on all android phones) Here is the post I did.

Name of the post is
How to Remove Verizon Back-up Assistant from LG Ally (or other Android Phones)

I hope this is ok to post the link to my site... I did not see a point to repost the information here, If I find I need to change the post it would be easier to do it on my site then try to go and find every site I would have posted this to.
Thanks for the great site and I hope this helps everyone who had the same issue.

Oh and if it is different for your phone please let me know so I can do a write-up on other models.

My phone is rooted, but I don't have c:\android\sdk\tools on my computer.
