uninstall a widget

Phone came with an accuweather widget. It's freaked out now. Woudn't change the weather from yesterday. I put it in the trash. Now trying to add the widget back to the phone but when i plug in the city it won't find any city in the country. The widget itself seems to be buggy. So my question is if this isn't going to work at all how do I uninstall this motorola widget ?

If its a stock app you cant until down the road when root and roms happen

You could just not use the widget and install a different one from the market like weatherbug
