UI Changes

Hypnotic

Member
When Gingerbread releases how much of the Droid 2's interface will actually change? I know there probably isn't a clear answer to this, but if anyone has any ideas that would be great.

I personally don't think any of the UI would change. Maybe the notification bar will change a little, but that's it in my opinion.

Thats a bit disappointing. I really want that black notification bar.

Me too, as well as the new keyboard. I'm hoping Gingerbread gets rid of the Motoblur UI completely, but I doubt it will.

Same here I just installed that Gingerbread launcher and I just never wanna go back to Motoblur xD

Word is the notification bar should be black. The whole interface, at least the vanilla one, is black with green accents.

That's the magic question. I would hope they would at least use the black status bar. That seems to lend itself well to the "droid" image they created.

Agreed. Black is a much better color for the bar. I haven't seen a single rooted Droid with a white status bar.

The color white is just annoying when you have a dark background. Also at night the color white is annoying as it blinds you. So yeah here's hopin.

Its been so heavily branded with black and red, like the droid eye and eeverything, seems like a no brainer to me...
