Txt thru pc?

I was wondering if there was an app out there that would let you reply to txt msg on your computer while your phone is plugged in. Before I rooted my phone and was using a tether app...the name escapes me......anyways it had like an im popup window that would allow you to answer incoming msgs. I really like this function because I hate having to stop what im doing and make the transition from fullsize keyboard to droid keyboard. If anyone knows of an app or something of the like I would love to know about it. Thanks a ton guys!!

Pdanet was the tethering app...but beyond google voice (which would be a different #) idk

You can text through google even if your phone isnt connected (send SMS messages).

no thats not a text message that is an internet IM that converts to a text message, it is completely different.

GV isn't internet IM. You can send and receive SMS via the GV site.

Is there a reason that you cant just use the email client on your pc to sent a message to someones phone?

So in theory I should be able to be on gv and while doing whatever and be able to respond to my sms?
