Tunneling

When I download Chevy Kernals, I get an option to Tunnel (TUN) what is this and should I click it? Thanks..

I was told not to use it unless you do vpn or corporate network activity. Not sure if that's true or not. I've never chosen it.

That pretty much sums it up. Tunneling is for VPN.
