Trouble with Voicemail - #1 on keypad a pain in the Rear

When ever I check my voicemail - it automatically brings up the keypad so I can enter my PIN... The damn #1 won't freaking work half the time... I press it like 1/2 dozen times before either, I hit the wrong number, the screen turns off, or it finally works....

As far as I can tell, this is only an issue when checking my voicemail...
