Trouble attaching to computer

Anyone having trouble attaching Maxx to their computer to move pics back and forth ???

It was working fine until today. it doesn't connect and the computer wants to go out looking for software to install my phone.......

I tried emailing the pic to myself but the phone now says the pic is too big.....

Everything used to work fine until today........

Any help would be appreciated....

First, I have macs, so it's different than Windows. No, I have no trouble, but you can count on one hand the number of times I've connected in the last year that I've had the phone. I use Dropbox or Google+ automatic photo backup to access photos on my computer, and to make sure they're backed up in case of disaster or loss.

When you connect your phone go to settings, storage, options and play with mtp/ptp setting.
