Tried to SBF and i think i bricked my droid....

yea so i was running my phone and decided to go back to stock considering the new OTA update for gingerbread might come out soon so i downloaded all the necessary files for my droid x(from a pdf file that was a manual) and i think i bricked my droid according to this thread here

i'm not sure what to do because i don't know how to go into recovery because it just goes straight to the bootloader...here is what you guys should know about my phone

my phone was running:
Liberty Rom 1.5 by jrummy and Kejar31
on kernel 340

i used RSD Lite 4.8
with the sbf file VRZ_MB810_2.3.15_1FF_01.sbf

after the flashing process it said that my phone "PASS"
but its stuck on the boot loader menu reading exactly

i think i used the wrong sbf file since i'm on 340 but please someone help me i'm stupid and didn't think about what i was doing but i really need my phone....i'll be up all night until i can figure out what to do because i'm screwed....thanks

Go over to MyDroidWorld and locate the .340 FULL SBF file and flash that.


If that bootloops boot into stock recovery. Power on while holding home key and wait for the android guy to pop up and hit your search button then factory reset.

Yep, that seems to be it.

alright i flashed and and now have seen the moto logo as well as the boot up animation but it appears that it's in a bootloop what do i do?

that was the wrong sb. you want the droid 2 2.3.2 not droid x 2.3.340

edit: wait this is in the x section but it says you have a 2.

if you do have an x then you jus tneed to get in to recvery and do a factory reset.

i HAD the droid 2 but i got the droid x because i didn't like the droid 2, the SBF did work and i'm actually reactivating my phone right now and i'm actually getting txt's and stuff the problem is solved! thanks to everyone at least i have the correct files now

Pull Battery

power on while holding home button

wait for android and triangle to pop up

hit search key

factory reset

reboot

Andy, you just saved my life. I forgot to unzip the .340 sbf and didnt read when it said .15. I FREAKED and, well, it saved my hide, thanks!
