Traveling drain?

Hello, all.

When traveling in and out of 4G, 3G, or no/poor coverage zones, what is the best settings to have to preserve battery life? I really notice a huge power drain when traveling. Where is this drain coming from?

I have WiFi turned off until needed.

Anything else?

Thank you.

Steve

Then you will have to deal with battery drain . Your phone is searching for signal . Airplane mode will at least save battery for you .

Ahhhh....ok. Didn't know that would be such a huge drain. Thank you.

Do you think downloading the app that keeps your phone at 3G will help? At least with areas bordering 3G and 4G? Not sure of the name of the app.

You can turn off mobile data in settings and still receive calls/texts. That should save battery by only connecting to 1x instead of 3g and 4g.

if you are in a low 4g service area and the phoneis in 4g mode it will drain your phone REAL fast and the phone will get HOT. To save your battery the most, turn it off when you are driving
