transfer contacts

First off I am a new user of this site and thank all of you for the help.
I recently upgraded from a D1 to a D3 and was wondering how to transfer the contacts from the D1 to the D3. bluetooth maybe?

If you use Google for your contacts, they will automatically synced to your D3. I recently went from D1 to D3 and had no problems with contacts or Google calendaring.

Do you have a gmail account? If you do then they should automatically be backed up. Open your gmail on the computer. Click where it says gmail in red near the top left. There should then be a contacts option.
