Traffic Widget Help

i just upgraded to the razr maxx and i'm trying to figure out a few things. does anyone know how to use the traffic widget? i can access it, set it up, and drop it on my home screen. then when i click on it to use it, nothing happens. maybe i'm not setting it up properly? i'm basically looking for something decent to use to check traffic conditions on my commute. any feedback would be great.

Does your local DOT (dept. of trans) broadcast that info? Or maybe someone else? Not being a smartass, that is just the first thing that came to mind. If the info isn't out there the widget wouldn't work. Good luck!
