Top 3 Reasons you Got the Droid

1. Verizon Network
2. Navagation
3. Coming in here before I bought it and knowing that it could be rooted and because of the that, the different roms, I would never get sick of it.

1) My contract was up and I wanted to get a smartphone.
2) Liked the potential of the phone
3) Edged out Storm 2 as phone to get after studying both.

1: Not an iPhone
2: Apple does't own it
3: So I can rub it in whenever I see someone with an iPhone

Every iPhone user asks "can your phone do this?" and i say yea...can your phone be overclocked? attain custom roms? Have a slide out keyboard? How about this app I made? Does your phone have a web server app? and finally does your phone chime "droid" at you when you boot up?...oh thats right your phone shows an apple...cute.

1.Android
2.Apps
3.Motorola's Hardware

Best smart phone purchase I've ever made.

I'll be riding the Droid wave for the years to come. Awesome device.

My Storm constantly needed battery pulls during heavy usage (memory leaks/lock ups)

The lastest OS update fixed some problems and introduced new problems to things that were working before the update

I demoed the Droid at the Verizon store:byestorm:

Not gonna lie but the main reason I got one is because I wanted the iphone so bad but was stuck with verizon. Then droid came out and I did some research on it then bam...happily ever after

- The app store (to make it a phone, PDA, and a few games too :D ) .
- Google navigation (without having to pay Verizon extra for it  ) .
- Having the ability to customize my phone fully .

Gorgeous screen and interface, and solid construction too. Best phone I ever had (coming from the old WinMo and PalmOS Treo). And even though (at this writing) M$ looks like they're getting on the ball with their new phones; I just can't bring myself to trust them again. I don't wanna see Palm fail, but Android is doin' it for now baby :) .

- Customization
- Google Navigation
- Apps

Ill be honest i almost left Verizon to get the iPhone but decided to check out the Droid first since i had an upgrade available and really hate AT&T's network. Once i checked out the droid and learned of its Free Google Turn by Turn Voice Navigation and other features of the phone i decided this is the phone for me! I wanted it so bad i didnt even wait the month to get the $100 off the phone. I just took my upgrade and paid new contract price. I cant be happier with it. I mess with iPhone users all the time saying "What iCant, Droid Does" :icon_ banana:

Another bit of honesty : That HTC Incredible is sure looking like its going to live up to its name. Might go for one if i feel like spending the cash on the phone @ full retail price.

1. Android os and everything that comes with it. Having gone from the g1 to the lg triton, getting android back is actually the only reason I got a new phone at all at the time...and paid full retail price.
2. 5mp camera and social networking uploads go well together.
3. 16 gig sdcard. I remember the first 1 gig hard drive computer we had. We thought there was no way we'd need all of that space. We were dead wrong...Haha!

Just picked up a Milestone, coming from an iPhone 3G.

1) Proper Bluetooth. iPhone BT sucks major balls, AVRCP doesn't work and A2DP only works when it feels like it.
2) Apple's mega control of the platform
3) Hardware keyboard. Droid's isn't great but I'll get used to it.

1. Screen.
2. No need to do daily battery pulls (previous Storm).
3. Flexibility.

One thing that is disappointing is I am unable to get it to sync/recognize my Bellsouth email account. I have to go to "My ATT" and check it that way.
