To all the naysayers and haters of the DX2...

great phone !!!!!!

this has been a great phone for me, fast, please if you have problems with your phone take it back, lets use this forum for positive info. :icon_ banana:

Agreed #winning. Ofc I'm sure people don't mind posts with questions requesting assitance with issues etc. Leave the bashing where it belongs, to yourself.

lol...it comes with the territory. There will be ppl that think its the best phone they ever had, there will be ppl that think its not worth even looking at.

The Droid X1 was a great phone IMO. The DX2 added to what already made the DX1 a great phone.

Looking back over the past year....there has never been a phone that launched that didnt have problems within the first few months. The Droid 1 is considered on of the best phones on Verizon still to this day. It had headphone jack issues, mute issues when it launched tho...

The EVO, Galaxy S, ...even the mighty iPhone had issues when it launched. There will be haters....haters gonna hate.

I agree with this sentiment. If you have a frustration and are looking for help in fixing it, then by all means, post in this forum. If you're looking to grind an axe with moto or vzw, what the hell good is it going to do to whine here? Go tweet to @vzwsupport or post on the moto owner's forum.

I love my DX2.

I don't notice problems with the screen like some people do. I think it's way better than my D1 and my wife's D2G. The only funkiness I notice is the green part in the market app might be a little fuzzy to me but the homescreen is seems sharper.

I have noticed some hiccups when playing music with the stock player. My phone isn't my primary media player so it's not a huge deal to me. I can't say anything about loud pops when using the Aux jack in a car stereo because I haven't needed to use it in that way. My car stereo has a USB port and an SD card slot so I use those.

Bottom line, I think it's a great phone and recommend D1/D2 users due for an upgrade to consider it. DX users should probably wait. Seems most complaints are from DX users and the differences in the devices aren't as huge.

Have had my dx2 since may 24 and gotta say loving it. Came from d1 so huge leap and everything is just so quick and the screen kicks ass.

This has been the best smart phone I've ever had.
The screen is brilliant, large, and makes web surfing fun. (on Auto I can see it in day light just fine. I do use my melon to shade it though.)

I started out with just a few apps and slowly added them.
Too many apps and I could notice some lag (I finally stopped at 92).
I was worried about battery but it has conditioned and now I'm getting 13 hours
fairly heavy use.
Glad they kept the from factor of the original X, the camera bump makes it easy to pull from a pocket.
I've never had any popping when listening to the built in music player. The only problem has been with Sirius radio and that hasn't happened again.
I sometimes get Netflix freezing, this might be a RAM problem, I noticed that I had an audio book loading up in the background. I exited Audible and no more pauses.
All in all a great phone.

Not hating, but where's the lte and front camera. Too late in the game not to have these imho. I'm sure great phone besides these little nuances.

I think it depends which phone u came from and what you use the phone for. I came from a D2G and my main concern in switching to X2 was that I wanted a 4.3 screen so I could read emails, rss, etc better and also had no real use for the key pad. I love my dx2 even though there is a lot of negs reviews here. I rooted it, froze the blur apps, supercharged, and added a launcher. Cool enough.

^So true. depending what phone you had before, you will definitely think the Droid X2 is the best phone out.

Lets look at it like this....I got a Droid 1. I barely used the slide out keyboard. The keyboard is more functional than a FFC to me. Now, I dont think I will ever get a phone with a slide out keyboard again. Do I feel every phone after the Droid 1 shouldnt have a slide out keyboard, that its a waste of space? No. If I feel that way about a slide out keyboard....a FFC isnt a end all be all feature to make a phone a great device.

LTE is a lil different. It makes web browsing and streaming much better. But, I didnt really do the streaming thing until late last year. I used to use my web alot, even had Tapatalk and similar apps for reading forums on my phone. Now, I dont really have time to do any of that when not at home. For real, until LTE can be used for voice...the only ppl seeing benefits of LTE are heavy web users and heavy streaming ppl, if GPS can take advantage of LTE then that too. It would be nice for the occasional time I do use the web to have things loaded alot quicker and the browsing be alot better. For me, LTE is a lil bit more of a want than a FFC.

I didnt get a dual core PC until 2008, been getting my own PC's since 1999. And I'm still on that dual core PC. No hardware upgrades since getting it. I didnt really need quad core back then and it wasnt benefiting me until I saw the improvements of it this year. So I may get a quad core PC this year or next year. Why did it take me so long to get a dual core PC? I started using my PC differently in 2007 and needed an upgrade.

Depending on wants n needs.....the Droid X 2 is a great phone....or it isnt enough of a phone....For real, if one of these new phones dont give my the same reception or better as my Droid X1...I may be rocking that for a long time....if the DX 2 matches or does better and some other phone with a FFC and LTE doesnt....DX2 it is for me.

There are several other subforums where devices with the coveted LTE and FFC can be discussed.

I can appreciate that you'd prefer to keep negativity out of the forum, but to confront other posters so aggressively strikes me as counterproductive.

I disagree, it's about time we stop being "PC" and start putting stupid whinny people in their place.
