Who else is stoked about the new Nintendo Wii U? As you know is our custom, we've got a dedicated site just for the Nintendo Wii U at the Wii U Forum.

You can visit the site at the following url: www.wii-uforum.com.

Might want to register quick and secure your low member #...

Also, I thought of something that the new Wii U Controller might bring... I always enjoy checking out the kill-cam in games like Halo... the new controller has a front facing camera. Imagine if you got to see the normal kill-cam on TV, but on the controller's screen you got to see the player that you killed's front facing camera... so the kill-cam plus the reaction-cam. That would be classic.

it's cool i guess but i'm starting to get sick of people trying to revolutionize the gaming world at the expense of my wallet. i don't need motion controls, i don't need a touchscreen controller, i don't need more peripherals littering my living room, i don't need voice controls or facial recognition software. i need a controller with joysticks triggers and buttons and i need games with good mechanics, story lines, and graphics.

+1 Couldn't agree more.

I definitely agree that sometimes the manufacturers get caught up with gimmicks, and even graphics much of the time... where as the "feel" of the game is #1. Example: I never got into the Unreal Tournament engine -- it didn't "feel" right when I played... where as Quake, Quakeworld, etc... had the best feel and mechanics and I could never put it down. Haven't played anything quite like that since... was amazing, and despite having poorer graphics was the love of my life ;)

Same here. I was getting excited when they were talking about catering to "hardcore" gamers (I like to think that term just means gamers that don't fall for gimmicks) then they showed a hd Wii with a tablet as a controller. I'll pass.

yeah. i will give nintendo points for moving their controller back in the right direction at least. while microsoft is moving closer to full motion controls nintendo went from flimsy nunchucks that i had to wave around and inevitably let go of and they went flying directly into the face of my sleeping cat who has never forgiven me and... where was i going with that... anyway at least the wii u controller is one solid piece that will be held with both hands and have all the gaming essentials in the right place.

In my honest opinion if play station left their controller the same forever id be a happy dude. I really am no fan of moving while i play my games. I sit on my couch when im tired, and play the ps3. Im not going to come home from a long day and dance around like a monkey in front of my tv screen. I like the fact that the controller can be the monitor as well but thats the only thing i like with this system. The kinect, wii, and move can all go away and id be fine with it....but im not much for gimmicks. Not a fan of 3d either....
Wonder what the CPU is in the wii-u. I know its IBM but will it be on pa with the ps3 and xbox. Id hope it would be the same ish becuase ps3 and xbox have cpu's that are like 3 or 4 years old.

The Gamecube was the last of the great Nintendo consoles. I have a Wii and the only good game is Goldeneye...

Exactly how I feel! Give me great game play and an engaging story without all the other "stuff" to get in the way.
