[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

so im good to delete all these zip files....even tonights newest build? also when we donload them and install them do the just download to our phones internal memory?

Yes you can delete after the flash. I tend to keep the last one around so I know what build I'm on.

And yes the ROM itself flashes to the phones internal memory.

Just flashed the latest 9/19 build. Now I get a force close every time I try to enter the status bar settings. I wanted to change to the miui battery. I tried fixing permissions. Still FC's. Any ideas?

FYI: As of the 9/19 nightly, Rev added a new feature to the status bar that requires a clear data in the CM Settings app in Settings>Applications>Manage>All.

The new feature is under status bar tweaks - the battery meter can be set to a very thin green line that goes across the top of the status bar to show battery level...pretty cool, borrowed from MIUI.

Settings>CM Settings> Interface> Status bar tweaks> battery style> status bar

Is it possible to change the font with cm7? I was using celtic garamond with liberty .9 and the rom toolbox had the ability to flash over 150 fonts. On to something else.
I sbf'd back to froyo(from liberty gb).
Loaded the monster update zip.
Tried to load 9/19 cm7.
Bootlooped/sbf'd back to froyo/ took gb update ota.
Used the 1 click root method and loaded cm7.
Having fun with cm7 now.

swype bug

There are known issues w/the touch screen (on the D1 as well) that can show up when plugged in - it can be so bad the phone is unusable, or subtler and only come up w/a touch-screen intensive program like Swype. Likely nothing you can do about it, other that trying another charger.

I've had the same problems with my swype acting erratic unplugged OR plugged in. I've tried re installing swype a few times also - no change. I'm using GB keyboard right now. it'll suffice for now....

miss swype though.... :'(

Yup - install instructions are in the OP...this ROM is based on the GB OTA, so that is where you should start from before applying any of the builds. At least you got some SBF practice. :)

I haven't seen many comments on changing fonts, but I suspect that a font change utility that works on GB would be OK to try on CM7. You know the worst-case...SBF. :) If the ROM toolbox is able to be installed on CM7 and compatible w/GB, you could give that a try.

Bummer...could not use my phone w/out Swype. I get occasional weird words, it seems like Swype is less forgiving of a sloppy swype/uneven pressure, not sure if it's a CM7 issue or an issue w/the new version of Swype. Touchpal and GO Keyboard both have a swype option, and maybe Swiftkey as well (?) so you have other options....

I'm a big fan of swype, but I've been using SwiftKey X and I really like the predictive text features in it. I also like it's style, if only someone would start theming it....

quick question...pretty sure i know the answer is yes but i want to make sure...if im running out of space on my sd card is it safe to delete old nightlies that i have downloaded in the past?

Not just old nightlies, but old nandroid backups too.
