[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Get ROM Toolbox from the market and you can download the most current build from the ROM Manager option in ROM Toolbox. Then use either Clockwork Recovery directly, or use the Install ROM from SD card option in ROM Manager to install. Don't use ROM Toolbox to install, not compatible w/Clockwork Recovery at this point.

You might want to go w/9/25b2 build for now, as some of us have had battery life issues on 9/26, but some haven't, so hard to say how it might go for you.

I was just using this link from the OP, [DEV_THREAD]Droid 2 CM7 with Gingerbread Kernel

which shows a 9-19 build as the latest? I have ROM manager but generally just install manually.

Launcher pro as well as adw have the option to backup homescreens. I don't know what I'd do without them! If you have to wipe data, just restore your launcher backup (after restoring your apps with titanium and you're back to normal.

On top of that my batterys no better so what's the point. At least everything worked properly on froyo with the horrible battery life

Try switching to an earlier build. I'm on 9/18 and do not experience any of the problems people report,my phones runs great. Also don't use Tom manager (if u are) to install the zips I always do everything from cwm. A lot of problems are also caused by apps, for instance last night I tried out adjbrightness. Completely jacked my phone up. As for FB I feel you lol this last update was garbage and ruined the app IMO. But its not cm its FB's problem. I also never restore data with TB, except for games. Hope this helps if any thing applies to you're situation.

Good call...however, you shouldn't worry about TB ...it shouldn't cause any problems unless you are restoring a system app or data...all else is ok...of course, many apps can be the culprit in these issues..

Ooops...to answer your question, I'm not sure because first, if it was working for you before, maybe it changed or something when you wiped data..but I'm still able to use an old few apps that still work for me on all the roms I've installed..but honestly maybe I should try again...its been a couple of days since I checked.....

Its workin for me as well. Never had problems with wireless tether witth any rom. Maybe I'm just lucky. Oh and by the way I'm using version 2.0.7.

Now I feel better I'm not the only one...I was afraid people would think I was coming off cocky..lol But I'm willing to help in any way I can..but all I know is, I'm reading all over people are saying it doesn't work anymore...I assure you it does...I know they took the apps off of the market a while back but they are available all over including amazon app store(a couple) ....

My SU binary is not updating. It shows as outdated and will not dl the update. It fails at root access.
