Texting issues with Handcent SMS

I am having a problems with Handcent and I'm not sure how to fix it. Every now and again, I send a text and the person receiving it will get nothing but symbols. It has been happening a lot lately and I have no idea why it's doing that. I'm seeing normal letters on my end so something's not right. Any suggestions????:huh:

That's happened to me occasionally. As far as I know I'm using the stock SMS messenger though. Any ideas?
