Texting - how u get words to prefill?

How do I get my droid X to learn? My other phone always suggested words once I started typing a word out.
Now, with the droid X, I have to spell everyting out. It takes alot longer to text.

if you go to the homescreen and then settings, you should find language and keyboard. There is most likely a setting in there for it.
Should be under "Android Keyboard" as "show suggestions"

go to the text message inlet and then go to the messaging settings
