Text Tone Alerts??

Hey all,

I'm new here, and just was given the regular Droid untill my droud X comes in. This is my first expierence with the Droid. What I'm looking for is a app or someway to retreive text alerts that are simple beeps or what not like on regular phones. Is that possible? Or does anyone know of a app that has tones like that pre-dowloaded?

You can use any supported sound file as a notification tone. If you want a beep then find the sound file with the beep you want.

Check out an app called "Zedge". It should be on the market. You can browse and download ringtones. I think it's all user submitted and free. I found a couple of nice, pretty simple ones on there. You can also simply google "simple sms tones" or something similar and probably find what you're looking for.
