Text Recipient doing nothing

Ive been searching for awhile and maybe I'm just having a dumb moment but since updating to ICS when I go to text and want to start a new convo I try to enter a recipient and it won't predict who I'm trying to send to as it used to. I have display suggestions while addressing checked but nothing. Wondering if I'm missing something here. I just hate having to go into "People" then select the person, then select to text them.

Mine predicts when i start typing in a contact. I wonder why yours isn't

Are you using the stock texting app? Or a third party app like gosms

Have you done a factory reset since you updated to ICS?
There many strange problems encountered after the ICS upgrade that are cured by a factory reset.
