Text Messaging Icon

I was just noticing through youtube videos and whatnot that the text messaging icon is different on the Razr than what I have. I have the icon which is a teal blue sideways smiley face in a square form. I think its absolutely ugly (as some other icons are), but how would i be able to get the other icon? (which is like an envelope kinda thing)

The 2.3.6 update changed the icon. I don't know of any way to change the icon without rooting. You could always try a third party SMS app like Handcent or Go SMS pro.

You can also install a homescreen replacement app (GO Launcher EX, ADW EX, Launcher Pro, Zeam, etc.) and use an icon theme pack. I have this one running right now because I'm a big huge nerd who likes Tron.
